Research

It is expected that such information will be combined and upgraded, and applied to technologies for dynamic control of the environment and devices that surround us to improve safety, security, and comfort. In this course, we will conduct research and development on monitoring devices for health care equipped with a wearable biochemical laboratory system as “Bio-Chem-Lab on body” that continuously acquires and analyzes secreted samples that can be collected minimally invasively, such as sweat, in addition to conventional vital information, at a frequency that is conducive to dynamic control.

  • Research on device and system technology to enable high-frequency measurement of various markers contained in minimally invasive secretory samples such as sweat, especially markers related to stress, fatigue, etc.
  • Research on structural design and production technology for disposable system that directly touch the skin and specimens, which can be easily detoxified and have a low environmental impact when disposed of.
  • Research on coating materials that enhance comfort when worn and bio-interface technology that improves analytical performance.

Through the above research, we aim to move from the conventional field of health prevention and maintenance to the realization of an environment and comfortable space more suited to individual sensibilities.
